Where to stay - North Norfolk

The Sandringham Estate Club Site

(land owned by the Crown Estates)

For our first foray we chose a Caravan and Motorhome Club Site (CMC) with full facilities.

(As with all CMC owned sites you know exactly what you are going to get. They are all of a certain standard and the club is currently undergoing refurbishment of some of its older sites.)

About the site:-

- Immaculately clean.

- security barrier at the entrance

- Information Hut

They also had visits from a Chip Van

We felt this site would be a safe bet for our first trip. We loved the fact that this site was in a wood. We heard the owls calling at night and were woken with a lovely dawn chorus.

Rural site, ideally located for touring the area.

Our second site in North Norfolk was a privately owned site

Deer’s Mead Caravan and Camping Park

A small perfectly formed campsite with very modern up to date facilities

- immaculately clean

- friendly owners

- adults only

- it does get some road noise at certain times as its off the A140 but the site overall had more plus points for us.

We loved the smallness of this site, tucked away down a lane off the main road.
