Choosing your very own Hygge

Updated: Nov 17, 2018

Research –

Look at suppliers, read reviews, watch videos and talk to current owners

Try before you Buy

If this kind of travelling is new to you it may be a good idea to have a go, you may hate it or like us, you will fall in love with the freedom campervanning offers. Some dealers offer a discount or freebie when you buy if you have already hired from them.

Choosing your Supplier

Locality, choosing a supplier or dealer local to you has its advantages.

It is worth bearing in mind there are many moving parts in a campervan, possibly resulting in a snagging list and on going repairs and adjustments, this is normal and to be expected. Do you mind travelling miles if there is an issue?

New, Secondhand or convert your own

This could simply be down to the money. There are some excellent second hand and/or conversions out there. And some very tasty high end new vans for a price.

Habitation checks

Should be done every year. With gas, electricity and water these annual checks are important for health and safety. Does your supplier offer this?

Warranty

Our supplier Camperking offers a rolling warranty if you have an annual habitation check with them. Would that be important to you?

Design

Do you want full choice in your interior colours, design features and add ons or choose from the stock on the forecourt?

Ongoing running costs -

Insurance, tax, MOT, van servicing, annual habitation check, breakdown cover - make sure you factor these into your calculations.

This is not the definitive list. Write down your priorities.

Get out there ,visit the dealers and take the plunge. We haven’t looked back.
